Due to the nature of our services, which involve custom professional work performed specifically for each client's unique property and project requirements, our return and refund policy differs from traditional product-based businesses.
Service-Based Business
As a professional land surveying company, we provide specialized services rather than physical products. Our work includes boundary surveys, topographic surveys, construction staking, ALTA/NSPS surveys, subdivision platting, and GPS control surveys. Each project is customized to meet specific client needs and property characteristics.
Service Deliverables
Upon completion of surveying services, clients receive comprehensive deliverables including:
- Detailed survey plats and maps prepared by licensed professional surveyors
- Legal descriptions and boundary documentation
- Digital files in CAD and PDF formats
- Field notes and measurement data
- Professional certification and surveyor's seal
No Returns on Completed Services
Once surveying services have been performed and deliverables have been provided to the client, returns are not applicable. This is because:
- Professional time and expertise have been invested in the project
- Field work has been completed on the specific property
- Custom documentation has been prepared and delivered
- The work product is specific to the client's property and cannot be resold or reused
Project Cancellation Policy
Before Field Work Begins: If a client needs to cancel a project before any field work has been performed, a full refund of any deposit or advance payment will be provided, minus a reasonable administrative fee to cover initial research and project setup costs.
After Field Work Has Started: If cancellation occurs after field work has begun, the client will be responsible for payment of services rendered up to the point of cancellation. This includes:
- Research and records review time
- Field crew time and equipment usage
- Data processing and preliminary documentation
- Any third-party costs incurred (permits, record searches, etc.)
Quality Guarantee
We stand behind the quality and accuracy of our work. All surveys are performed by licensed professional surveyors in accordance with state regulations and industry standards. If any errors or omissions are discovered in our work product, we will:
- Investigate the issue promptly and thoroughly
- Correct any errors at no additional cost to the client
- Provide revised documentation as needed
- Maintain professional liability insurance to protect our clients
Dispute Resolution
If a client has concerns about the services provided or the accuracy of survey results, we encourage immediate communication with our office. We are committed to addressing all concerns professionally and promptly. Our dispute resolution process includes:
- Initial consultation with the project surveyor to discuss concerns
- Review of field notes, measurements, and methodology
- Additional field verification if necessary
- Written explanation of findings and any corrective actions
